The pros and cons of manual toothbrushes versus electric toothbrushes depends on the user. For instance, I used a manual toothbrush most of my life. I started using an electric toothbrush about three years ago and I absolutely love it! But when I go on vacation I don’t take the electric toothbrush with me because it has a charging unit, a battery and an extension cord. Whereas with your manual toothbrush, you pack it in your carrier and you are on your way. You get the same advantages from either one when you use them properly.
I think for a person who is sincerely interested in taking great care of their teeth, an electric toothbrush is great because it guides you along in the process of what do to. With a manual toothbrush you may get stuck in your old ways or brush real quickly and hard because you’re in a hurry or just not thinking. Well, your electric toothbrush will not allow you to do that. It will tell you not to do it because it won’t beep and you can’t go through to completion with it. For that reason alone, I think with all the nooks and crannies and bells and whistles on them, electric toothbrushes are better.
