Parents: Don’t Blame Genetics

Parents may sometimes blame genetics but the reality is that you cannot blame genetics on tooth decay in kids.

The primary cause for tooth decay in children is having a child’s mouth that is not optimally clean. Parents tend to not have their children brush their teeth after they eat; they put bottles of milk or formula in their mouth before they sleep because they’re crying, etc. These are the primary reasons for tooth decay in children.

I think if a parent can keep a child’s mouth spotlessly clean (and it does take effort because children tend to eat many times during the day), you’ll get great results dentally.
