Getting root canal therapy is a very simple procedure, unlike years ago where we didn’t give adequate anesthesia and we didn’t take the time to educate the patient. There is an inherent fear with root canals. I always get this in my practice. “Oh, I know a friend who had a root canal 30 years ago.” Well, root canal therapy now is quite different than it was 30 years ago.
The reality of it is, it is almost like a deep filling. Again, if you have really good anesthesia, you are not going to feel any pain whatsoever. Zero.
Root canal therapy today, for the overwhelming majority of instances, is done in one visit. It is one and done. You’ll spend an hour in a chair, and you’ll be finished.
